About the Author
Peggy Williams is an award-winning producer, author, and the Founder & CEO of Dream Merchant Media Entertainment LLC, a creative company dedicated to producing meaningful, family-friendly content across film, television, and children’s literature.
Inspired by her love for education, storytelling, and legacy-building, Peggy created Maximus A+, an empowering children’s book series designed to make learning fun, relatable, and confidence-boosting for young readers. Through the adventures of Maximus and his world of supportive mentors, smart tech helpers, and loving family, the series encourages children to embrace curiosity, perseverance, and the belief that “Smart is the New Cool.”
With a background in entertainment and a passion for youth development, Peggy blends education with imagination—helping children see themselves as capable, intelligent, and destined for success both in and out of the classroom. Her work reflects her commitment to uplifting families, promoting literacy, and creating positive representation for children of all backgrounds.
Peggy lives in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and continues to expand the Maximus A+ universe through books, animation, and educational programming that inspire the next generation of learners.

Maximus and his friends aren’t just characters—they are guides demonstrating the joy and power of reading. They love all kinds of books: Luna loves books about animals, Pixel likes superhero comics, and Digi shouts, “Robots!”
Maximus A+
The Leader of the Quest Maximus is an enthusiastic student who knows that reading and learning are the ultimate superpowers! Even when words get “magnificent-ly” long or math gets tricky, Maximus never gives up. He’s here to show every child that with a little curiosity and a big grin, they can master anything.
Luna
The Literacy Detective Luna is sharp, observant, and loves a good mystery. She specializes in decoding the world around her—whether it’s finding clues in a picture book or sounding out secret messages. Luna teaches kids that reading isn’t a race; it’s an adventure where you look closely to find the treasure.
Pixel
The Creative Chronicler Pixel is the team’s artist and memory-keeper. She carries her sketchbook everywhere, drawing the places they visit—from the deep jungle to the furthest stars. Pixel helps children connect what they read to what they see, encouraging them to keep a journal of their own favorite stories.
Digi
The Tech-Whiz Assistant Digi is a playful, intelligent robot who makes complex ideas simple. When the team blasts off into space or dives into a cookbook, Digi is there to provide the facts and keep things organized. He’s living proof that robots (and kids!) love stories about galaxies far, far away.
Grams GeGe
The Heart of the Home Grams GeGe is the wise mentor who knows that a cozy chair and a good book are the best way to spend an afternoon. She teaches the team the “Point-and-Read” method: using your finger to lead your eyes across the page, one word at a time.
